If the email you are replying to already has a label applied (like in the example above), it’s definitely worth using the ‘Send + Archive’ button. Scenario 2: If the email already has a label applied You can use it on all email replies and clear your inbox fast. If that’s you, this feature will be a huge time saver.

To provide access to this over imap would likely download duplicates of everything from Inbox as well They added imap many years later and mapped many of these tags to imap folders, but not all are or should be mapped as the All category is a copy of all messages including ones with the removed Inbox category aka archived. Remember gmail is firstly a webmail system and manages messages via category tags. Don't think they provide access to archive over imap. This appears to be an imap limitation on gmail.
